Motivation Without Teachers, Tests, or Deadlines

There being no deadlines and grades is one of the biggest differences between YouTube learning and classroom learning. Personal interest and creative goals mostly are the only motivators. I would be very interested in working on a project when I get an idea, but would push it aside for weeks or even months when I lost the drive. There was no push to keep on working like at school. This shows that learning through YouTube is very dependent on personal motivation. Although this may work for many people, it also shows the reason why most people drop out during the process of learning things.
